Milo is months away from graduating high school when he’s ensnared by his father’s beguiling aura.
Vincent, beloved member of the community who can do no wrong, considers his son a prized possession.
Between genuine life lessons and shameful acts of pleasure, Milo’s tragic coming of age reveals nothing but the rot hidden beneath the average American family home.

Wow! Oh wow! What can I say. The prose in this is so … palpable (?) for the lack of a better word. It’s like the oppressiveness of the town descended upon me, too.
Loved your descriptions of Vincent. He is just such a miserable guy. I especially loved the scene where (MILD SPOILER) Vincent gets Milo’s age wrong. Really says a lot about him. Wanna strangle him so bad!
Despite this being a novella, i.e. not very long, the complexities of the characters really shone through. Just excellently written, and hot too.
OMG thank you for such a lovely comment! Vincent really is so miserable and pathetic...I hate his guts but also can't stop rotating him in my brain. I'm really happy you enjoyed this!
Absolutely DEVOURED this!
YAY! I'm glad to hear it!
